His first experience in construction was working for his grandfather, a roofing and painting contractor, at age 14. Later, Jac joined the United States Army, proudly serving as a Military Policeman.

In 1970 Jac returned to NH permanently, and in 1975 became a building contractor.  In 1990, Jac left home construction and started Castle Home Inspections.
